We got it today and already played for almost 2 hours...Aviva and I took turns.
Some of the things are not as easy as they look. And you can get a decent workout.
I, yes ME...actually ran in place and completed my turn of running. And did pretty good for the first time.
They time you and can unlock extra activities the more points and the more time you use it.
So glad we got it.
We even got Spider on it!

SAD and DISGUSTING.....
Something needs to be done about this teacher...guess she never heard of FAPE (fair and appropriate education) for all students with disabilities. He has rights no matter his disability.
I really hope the parents do something...at let this teacher be an example.

PAIN, PAIN Please go away....
Well...it has been a long few days of being in pain.
I went to the ER Sunday evening...all of a sudden I started experiencing pain in my lower right abdomen. It just came on all of a sudden. I did not want to go but Spider said we are going.
But being my abdomen I wanted to go to the hospital where I had my surgery....so off we went.
I felt absolutely miserable....finally took me in gave me an IV, drew blood and waited for some pain meds....the pain was 9 on a scale of 10. Finally they gave me morphine (ugh) followed up by zofran.
I started to feel a bit better...then off to CAT scan. My white blood count was elevated (14.8) but told him that was normal for me. SO they got the results of the scan and it looks like I have a large ovarian cyst on my right ovary. Never had one and do not wish for another.
So they gave me a script for liquid lortab and went home.
Yesterday went to the OB/GYN and she examined me but could not feel anything...so going back tomorrow for an U/S and then to discuss the results with her. But in the meanwhile, I am suffering. And just want to be back to normal.
This pain is so much worse then the pain from my surgery, if you can believe that.

Multi-Cultural Day at Aviva's school....
Yesterday at Aviva's school was Multicultural Day...they do a whole day to celebrate all different cultures and it ends with a parade celebrating the different countries.
The kids loved it..they cheered when they saw their classmates.

8 weeks ago today....
my LIFE changed forever and I mean for the better.
I had my surgery 8 weeks ago and again the best thing that has ever happened. I am off almost all my meds, my blood work is very good and best of all NO MORE back pain.
I feel the best I have ever had in years...it amazes me each day the energy I have, how I can do so much more then ever and I WANT to exercise.
I am now down, as of this morning 53 1/2 lbs or I like to say 214 sticks of butter.
My life is so good right now and it is only getting better.
Anyone thinking of the surgery, do your research thoroughly and find a Bariatric Center of Excellence.
I recommend it but again it may not be for everyone.

I LOVE Spider dearly......
he decided at 10:30 pm last night he wanted to clean the house...I was asleep. He likes to clean...not sure why.
So this morning I was looking for a bag I had on my side of the bed...it had some magazines in it and my tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom (we are going in Oct). Guess what..no where to be found. I am searching and getting upset.
Called Spider at work...he threw the bag away...I could not believe it. I do appreciate his cleaning but wish he would not touch my things. Was just a bit upset.
So thankfully wrote down my confirmation code and was able to call Disney Ticket Services...and the gentleman I spoke to laughed and said do not worry I was not the first person this happened too.The end result is when I go in August I can go up to a guest services window with my confirmation # and picture ID and they will give me new tickets.
So no dumpster diving for Spider.

WE are the proud owners.....
of 3 plane tickets to Jamaica....did not want to wait much longer...we are going Dec 14th to Dec 22nd (SIL wedding is the 20th). Found the tickets the cheapest because Spirit had a discount promotion.
We are flying in to Montego Bay on the 14th...going to an all inclusive till the 18th ( for 4 nights) Here is where we are staying: Sunset Jamaica Grande. Then renting a car driving to Kingston and staying in a hotel there for 4 nights. Could have stayed with his brother but they have no A/C and was not up to the 3 of us sharing a bed. Aviva needs her own bed. Hoping we can get to go to the Blue Mountains and Spider wants to visit some friends..and maybe he can show Aviva things he did as a child and where he did them.
We fly home from Kingston.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY 2008
Spider had to work but yesterday he came home with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. My dad and his wife sent me the other bouquet. I was woken up by Aviva this morning giving me the card and the handmade card and gift she made me....she was very proud. Spider got me a giftcard to Barnes and Noble (Aviva told him to get me a diamond ring). Then he left me an envelope because he felt bad no breakfast in bed and no spa, so left me some money to go shopping for myself. It was a nice day. Aviva and I spent time together and we went to the pool for a little while was about 90 degrees today.
I am just so happy to have Aviva in my life...what an amazing daughter she is, especially everything she went through at such a young age. I am very proud to be her MOM!!!!!!

GOOD news from my doctor visit today.....
I went to my regular doctor today for blood work results. My surgery was 7 weeks ago today and down almost 50 lbs.
Well, all good news...
My A1C for the diabetes went from a very high 10.1 to 7.1.
My cholesterols are all good...the good one is a little low so he said try to exercise more..but is happy I am playing tennis 3 to 4 times a week. And would like me to add weights into my work out to start building muscle as I lose fat.
Iron, B-12 were good...Vitamin D was low but the calcium levels were fine so not worried.
One of the liver tests was slightly high but came down from the last test.
He is very happy with everything and my blood pressure is 120/70. NORMAL!! Who would have believed it.
All in all he is very happy with my progress.

It feels good....
that when I go to Aviva's school I hear such nice compliments about her.
She is loved by everyone and seems everyone knows her :-)! It makes me very proud.
Her teacher told me how wonderful she is doing and every morning Aviva goes and gives her a big hug. We lucked out this year with such a wonderful and caring teacher.
It is teacher appreciation week so Aviva and I went and got a beautiful bouquet of flowers to show her home she is appreciated.
Hard to believe the school year is almost finished.
